All-Winter White Outfit with Chunky Sneakers.

Really leaning into the impending snowstorm in a winter white outfit.

Riding the weather wave this winter in KC has been a trip; a week of normal winter weather, a big warm-up (sometimes to the upper 60s), and then a massive front with either a cold blast, a few inches of snow, or both. I shot this all-winter white outfit on a 58-degree day because the next it was going to drop into the 20s and snow 5-6 inches. Buckle up!

Inspired by the impending snowstorm and always game for a monochrome moment, I pulled this look together with cream trousers, a matching cable knit sweater, and white chunky sneakers. Topped it with an ivory shearling maxi coat (such a steal) and felt quite Aspen Chic in the finished outfit.

Normally I would pair a heel with these wide-leg trousers, but I’m leaning into that sneakers-with-everything vibe. That chunky sole means easily navigating a few inches of snow and the whole look is polished, comfortable, and obviously snuggly.

The Adults Aren't Alright Season 1, Episode 6: The Influencers Are Wild.Episode 6 of The Adults Aren’t Alright: The Influencers Are Wild.

For this episode, I sit down with my good pal, Cait Fore. Cait’s a stylist, artist, wife, mom, and influencer. We met at Kansas City Fashion Week years ago and immediately connected over our no-nonsense approach.

We dive into influencer culture: what’s wrong with it, the games influencers play, and the general state of the industry. We discuss the general fakeness, the scourge that is Instagram, and the responsibility of influencers during important social justice and public health movements.

I have a feeling my blogger pals are really going to dig this episode. We’ve often talked about how Instagram has bred this rampant bad behavior of “girl bosses” pushing endless swipe-ups/link clicks and generally misleading their followings, and Cait and I address that head-on. (Use the timestamps to skip to where the influencer discussion kicks off.)

  1. Ahhh this sounds just like winters growing up in Connecticut. We’d be treated to a spring like day, then bam snowstorm! Sending warmth your way, and loving these winter whites <3

  2. that coat looks so cosy and this is a great winter white outfit! I love the monochrome white looks, it always look so stylish on others, but with the kids and the dog and my clumsy self I can never keep white pieces white for long so I only wear at most one white piece in an outfit, haha!

Thanks so much for joining the #WeekdayWearLinkup! Hope that you are having a good weekend 🙂 Another sunny day here thankfully, helping things dry out after the floods!
