A Boho Dress with Booties for Fall.

A long boho dress is right up my fall fashion alley.

As we inch toward mid-October, I start to crave a richer, more fall-friendly color palette. Warmer days, however, mean that breaking into the heavy knits (however fun!) isn’t always feasible. That’s where a chiffon boho dress in an autumn color palette comes in so handy. You’ve seen this exact dress about a million years ago; it was a 2015 H&M find I have kept around because it’s that good. (Fortunately, H&M has some killer versions with the same vibe here, here, and here.)

I belted the dress to reign in that waist and untied the higher neck to loosen up the vibe. (Look for belts with holes all the way around to make it work on the hip and higher up the waist.) Nude ankle booties with a subtle snakeskin effect paired really well with the dress; I wanted it to feel like fall without being too heavy or dark. These lighter booties are perfect! (Snag ’em here.) A Saint Laurent mini crossbody finished things off for an event at the new EB&Co store. The vibe was breezy and boho, and I fit right in.

This rich fall floral is so pretty, right? Just look at those oranges, burgundies, and hints of green! A long boho dress is such a great find right now. Ankle booties are the jam, but you could also make it work with a sneaker. Once it gets even cooler, grab a slouchy boot and layer ’em under the dress. Modern prairie to the max!
