Green velvet for the holidays? I’m game.

Continuing my holiday style series today with this green velvet dress. (Currently sold out at Zara, but this is a killer dupe– go!) Velvet is huge right now, as you know by now because I won’t stop wearing it (exhibits A, B, and C). I layered a black turtleneck underneath to add some warmth (KC is cold right now, guys) and slipped on those sock boots from Thanksgiving. A necklace from Bauble Bar (one of my go-to’s for statement jewelry that doesn’t totally shred my bank account) and a cool druzy 2-finger ring from Kendra Scott is all I needed in the accessory department.

What I also love about this dress? It’s big + roomy. That means maximum consumption at Christmas dinner doesn’t change my comfort level in the slightest. Major score.

If sock boots aren’t your thing, you could easily switch ’em out for a classic pointed toe pump (and maybe layer in a pair of tights if it’s cold). Another baller styling option: tall boots. That would a really cool, right-now vibe to the look.
