I’m kicking off my holiday series today with this metallic leather jacket (last seen worn with men’s denim). For the next few weeks, I’m going to be sharing different looks that are perfect for everything from Christmas at your grandma’s house to a dressed up night on the town with all your pals.
I often joke about how I’m attracted to shiny objects like a raccoon, so it’s no wonder I’m pairing sequins, metallics, and patent leather. Up that shine factor! I wanted something comfy but looked + felt like holiday– an easy pair of denim and a sequined blouse acted as the base. (My top from H&M is old, but you can find several sequined versions here, here, and on sale here and here.)
I love a moto jacket over just about everything, but a metallic leather jacket felt like the perfect extra piece for the holidays. A pair of pointed toe patent leather brogues meant polish without having to resort to a heel (although a pump would look ace with this).

I love this for the holidays because you can slip off the metallic leather jacket and still look all ready for wine swilling and getting caught under the mistletoe. Yes! I love this jacket over a basic black LBD and thigh high boots for date night, or with a simple t-shirt and high-waisted jeans for a round of Christmas shopping. Silver is totally a neutral always, but especially during December.
