Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit: Velvet Leggings and Sneakers.

What to wear if you’re keeping it low-key this Valentine’s Day.

Let’s say a big fancy dinner or drinks on the town isn’t your VDay thing. Maybe you’re looking to rock a casual Valentine’s Day outfit but still want to amp it up just a bit. A little shine, a little interest, but still something that goes anywhere. Consider the following outfit: velvet leggings, a black satin bomber jacket, and calf hair high-top sneakers. Lux elements like the velvet + satin combo and an in-your-face statement necklace take the look above your average look, but the bomber-style jacket and sneakers keep everything cool. Love the idea of a velvet legging– if that doesn’t personify athleisure, I don’t know what does.

I’ll probably do something very similar to this look for Valentine’s; my boyfriend and I are continuing last year’s tradition of a not-so-sappy VDay. Last year it was sushi and Deadpool; this year it’s sushi and John Wick Chapter 2. (Ha.) What can I say? I’m a sucker for action flicks, and I never say no to sushi.

  1. Love this! Valentines day doesn’t always have to be super glam. I also love the idea of velvet leggings– it’s like an extra classy way to wear the comfiest pants of all time, ahah. Also sushi and action movies sounds like a wonderful Valentines day activity 🙂

  2. This is athleisure at its best and a great idea for a cool-laid-back Valentine’s day look. Love the leggings and high-top sneakers and that edgy layered necklace is super cool.

Hope all is well gorgeous Ash! <3 Ada.
