How amazing is it that sneakers are now the shoe to wear with just about everything? When comfort meets cool– I’m a fan. Thanks, athleisure. I’m wearing a pair of gray Nike’s with an outfit built from interesting basics. A cropped tank, pair of stepped hem skinnies (the latest jean trend; shop mine here), and a longline white shirt dress worn open. This turns the dress into a duster, which is a great styling trick. Love how the cropped tank and denim play with the longer hem of the duster. Metallic accents from statement mirrored sunglasses (last seen here) and a cool mixed metal feather necklace work well with the gray tank + sneakers.

Shop the look:

This outfit looks a bit fancy– that’s all the duster’s doing. This is jeans and sneakers, with a twist. The bones of the look are basics. Despite the duster stealing the show, I really dig these gray sneakers. I plan on working these guys into more outfits because they’ll definitely play just as well with shorts and casual dresses as they will with yoga pants.

  11. Love the combination. I’m a huge fan of putting sneakers to an outfit so it looks a bit more sporty. Especially when you go shopping and meeting up with friends. My feet gets to worn out wearing pumps to events like that, because shopping seem to take over sometimes.
