Tweed Tee + Burgundy Booties.

Happy October!

Aren’t we always looking for a way to spice up a pair of jeans? Especially in the fall, when the weather requires us to make them a standard part of the uniform.

I took this tweed tee (scored on sale at JCrew; snag it!) and wore it with a pair of cuffed jeans. What a perfect top– it wears like a simple tee, but has the fashion pay-off of something a bit more chic. A pair of incredible red suede booties and a spiked cuff take things up another notch.

But those booties, though. So good. Love the low-cut side profile.

The lesson: jeans and a tee doesn’t have to be boring! Add something unexpected, like a bright shoe and/or a piece statement of jewelry, and you’re still casual-cozy without feeling as if you look boring.

    1. Totally makes sense, Natalie- and exactly what I was going for. Nothing like being super comfy because you’re wearing a basic tee, but it ups the fashion payout by being a little extra. πŸ˜‰

  1. I love how you’ve turned up the wow factor on the old jeans and a t-shirt. So pretty and that bag is a stunner. πŸ˜‰

  5. I love the combination of tweed on a t-shirt! So simple but really cute. You could totally wear it to the office, too!

  6. I Agree, jeans & tee doesn’t have to be boring. You never make anything boring, by the way. That is a gorgeous tweed tee you scored. The booties are perfect as I have said.
