A Tweed Jacket for Fall. | LSR

Tweed Jacket + Blue Pumps.

A tweed jacket adds some polish and keeps you cozy for fall.

A jacket with a bit of heft is a nice addition to your fall wardrobe for those crisp October afternoons. I like this tweed jacket just for that purpose– tweed is a heavier fabric so it provides warmth, but it’s not too bulky. This multicolored tweed jacket is perfect for adding some interest over a basic white blouse, especially with a sharp pair of blue suede pumps.

The brilliant part about an outfit like this is that it’s quite polished, but at the end of the day, you’re still in jeans. You can wear this to the office (if your office is denim-tolerant); just swap out the distressed version for a clean-cut version if your HR looks down on ripped knees. (Classic HR– spoiling all the fun.)

How else to wear a piece like this tweed jacket? It would be killer with a pair of tailored cigarette trousers (like these) if you wanted to go the dressier route. (Talk about the perfect office outfit!) I also like the idea of it over an LBD (something knee-length, classic-cut, and fitted). And come spring, I dig the super feminine vibe of the jacket with a pair of cutoff denim shorts.

    1. You should! I love it because tweed can come in so many forms- pastels to make it super girly, or dark colors like navy + black to keep it sharp. Lots of options!

  1. Tweed jackets are a great transitional piece. The colors in yours are some of my favorite colors. And your style is elevated with those amazing blue suede pumps. You look beautiful, Ashley!

  2. I’m swooning over this pink blazer, babe! First off, the blue looks so good on you and I love tweed simply because there are a mix of colors, allowing for you to pull out any of them or go for neutrals. It’s versatile! It’s even better that, like you’ve said, it’s a heavier fabric, making it great for fall. Thanks for the inspo, beauty, and I hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Gorgeous all the way!!! This outfit is something I would 100% copy. Love the tweed with the jeans, mix of professional and fun, but the icing on the cake are those heels.

  5. Like usual, you hit it out of the park, Ashley! I love this! And those heels… Can’t wear heels like that and it wouldn’t be practical running after my kids but oh they are so pretty!
