Button-up shirts, dark denim, tall boots– these are classic items every girl can put to good use in her wardrobe. These pieces don’t ever feel dated or tired, and can be easily jazzed up with accessories. Naturally I was game when these Ted&Muffy boots came into my life. A bit rugged, a bit equestrian, all the way classic. Paired with dark jeans and a button-up, this outfit takes me everywhere: the office on a Friday, running errands after work, happy hour with the girls, and patio-hunting on the weekends.

Please don’t sleep on a baby blue (or should I say serenity?) button-up; I wear mine constantly for both work and play. It looks great with a pair of black cigarette trousers + pumps, and obviously slays with skinnies and boots. I even knotted + wore it as a beach cover-up a few years ago. Staple piece– and a Target score? Wallet-friendly and timeless.

I’ll be sporting these Ted&Muffy boots for the rest of winter (only a few weeks left!) and then throughout the spring and early summer. I’m thinking they’ll make a nice contrast against a white eyelet dress (talk about boho x1000) and will be killer with white skinny jeans.

  4. Those boots are really cute (and they also look pretty comfy, which is a good bonus!). They also seem pretty near perfect for pairing with your jeans and button down combo – and, yeah, the baby blue is definitely soothing!

  39. This is like my go-to day job attire; so comfortable yet casually sophisticated. I’m pretty sure I have this same top from Target, but I busted a button off a couple years ago and haven’t fixed it yet!
