Leave it to me to justify almost any shopping trip. Summer has settled in, the sun is high, and the heat is up. Let’s shop.
As the temp rises, I start trolling the shops for light layers, bright sundresses and flat sandals. I crave easy, floaty stuff. Lots of cotton. Clothes that breathe; clothes that don’t require shapewear. (It’s just too hot to worry about Spanx, you know? I don’t need that kind of drama.)
On my radar:
A breezy tank and a great pair of destroyed denim cutoffs is my standard summer uniform. I’ll mix in a sundress in a bright summer color when denim of any kind (even shorts!) feels too heavy. A brushed silk romper is the perfect outfit for dinner with the boyfriend or drinks with friends. Pretty flat sandals and oversized wayfarers pull everything together.
Do you have a summer uniform?
What a cute romper! I love it!
Unfortunately, the majority of my summer wardrobe is khakis and a work polo!! Lol but when not working jean shorts and a tank or bright color tee always make me happy.
And as if you didn’t already know and need another excuse to shop… Nordstrom anniversary sale is upon us!!
I can’t believe how inexpensive those gold flat sandals are! I almost picked up a pair from J. Crew that were nearly identical, well aesthetically… fiscally, that’s a different story.
My summer uniform? I’m with you on the cotton, all about it. Loving slub cotton sundresses, denim shorts/skirts, featherweight tanks and Tom’s.
I’m with you- the hotter it gets, the less clothing I feel like wearing! lol.
I love a&f shorts!
