Rose Quartz Sneakers.

Admittedly I wasn’t initially a huge fan of the 2016 Pantone colors of the year: rose quartz and serenity. Baby pink and baby blue? Look, I love a good pale pink manicure and I do own a pair of sky blue shoes, but I’m also not your typical pastel-loving girl. Also, these colors kinda look a baby gender reveal party– I mean, right?

All that being said, I found these blush sneakers at H&M and ate all my words. One of the colors of year and on-trend with the sneaker resurgence? I’m game. (Athleisure is alive and well, guys.) Grabbed a slouchy neutral sweater and skinny jeans (winter uniform, Round 50) and tossed a fleece jacket over the top, as KC has decided to freeze over again. That groundhog didn’t see his shadow, right? Spring is on the way and cannot get here soon enough for my taste.

In general, pink isn’t usually my jam. But in cool sneaker form + a muted-almost-nude version, I am a convert.

    1. I agree- you have to find the right version of the colors of the year that work with your style, that’s why these sneakers were perfect for me. 🙂 Thanks for swinging by, Laura!

  1. Really cute look. That jacket is looks like a really nice piece from Forever21. I’m impressed! How does it look in person? From the screen it reads pretty lux. It looks like it might provide some warmth with the faux shearling lining. (always helpful).
As for the rose quartz tone, I think I’m on the same page as you. I’m not sure how I feel about it at this point. I kind of look at it as another neutral, just with a hint of rose/pink.
Regardless, you look adorable. The sneakers have clean lines and have a sporty but stylish look. Great find.

  2. I used to hate pink but I have to admit, I love pastel pink now and pastel blue (well, blue in any shade haha). So I was actually excited for the color of the year 🙂 But those sneakers are AMAZING! Seriously awesome find lady! Also, your lawn looks like ours – we just got a thick dusting of white overnight. Spring will be here soon, I hope!

    1. I like lighter-almost-nude versions of pale pink, I suppose- these sneakers were a perfect way to work rose quartz while still feeling like me. 🙂

  3. I like the look of these pink sneakers, they’ll be great when Spring finally arrives. I hope you see the end of the snow soon!

  4. Love those sneakers!! Sooo cute. Although it looks like perhaps you need to be wearing some giant fuzzy snow boots! Brrrrr!!

  5. Loving those kicks! I almost bought a similar pair at Aldo (they were more of an Oxford than sneaker), but they were sold out of my size. 🙁 You are looking so cool!

P.S. When are we going to hang out again?!
