Whether you’re going all out or going casual, I’ve got your NYE 2018 outfit covered.

I know we haven’t even celebrated Christmas yet, but now is the time to start thinking about what you’re going to wear for New Year’s Eve– especially if it means buying something new. Make those purchases now to ensure you’ll have your NYE outfit in time to ring in 2018!

Going out for NYE? Staying in? Doesn’t matter; I’ve got looks for formal and laid-back events (and everything in between).

NYE: Dressy

Consider shopping this list if you’re going all out for New Year’s Eve. (NYE is also my birthday, so I’ll be taking a cue from these picks and going with some major sparkle.) Sequins, velvet, glitter, lace– everything you need to build the perfect NYE balls-to-the-wall outfit.

NYE: Casual

Staying in for to ring in the new year? Or maybe just keeping it low-key with friends + fam at someone’s house? I’ve got some outfit ideas that are anything but boring, but don’t require Spanx, tights, or heels.


Feel free to mix and match from both lists to create the perfect mix of dressy and casual (which is my go-to for most holiday events that don’t happen to be my birthday). For example, these jeans and this sweater would look killer dressed up with these striped shoes. Add a cool pair of earrings and you’re done! Another idea: this sequined dress with these boots, and a leather jacket thrown over the top. (This one is a classic and this one is a steal right now.)

  38. I like these suggestions. THe dressy options are my favourite but I love those furry lined slides. We still don’t’ know what we are doing for NYE yet but trying to narrow down to a couple of options. I do have my outfit ready though. Happy Holidays. <3 Madison
