Printed Jumpsuit with Stiletto Booties.

This printed jumpsuit makes for a killer date night outfit.

Between work, life, and coronavirus quarantines, dressy events are not in the cards these days. I’ve been spending most of my March in hoodies and joggers, waiting for this pandemic to pass. When it finally does (insert all the alcohol-sanitized-prayer-hands), I’ll be wearing this printed jumpsuit out on the town.

I snagged it a few seasons ago at H&M, but then did that classic blogger/shopaholic thing where it hung in my closet– with tags on, ffs!– for almost a year.  Time to break it out for an early spring shoot! That bold print featuring birds and florals on a black background makes it a lovely transitional piece; it’s not too winter and it’s not too spring. Perfect for this in-between time.

I accessorized it for date night: shiny black stiletto booties and big silver hoops. (Also pictured: my Garmin Venu smartwatch, which is chic enough to wear with everything.) I would typically throw a black leather jacket over the top but wanted those flared sleeves with that white piped stripe to shine here. Such a cool + modern touch.

While this printed jumpsuit is a gem for date nights or as an alternative to a dress for a more formal event, I’m going to be wearing this to the office, also. (Whenever I go back to the office and not working from home in my jammies.) I’ll top it with a black boyfriend blazer and then swap out those stiletto booties for a classic pump. Once we hit that almost-summer precipice, this jumpsuit will look chic with a pair of flat leather sandals and a bright fuchsia lip.

  2. I would be chomping at the bit to wear that out – it’s such a fun piece! I’ve started a special section of my closet that’s devoted to things I’m going to wear as soon as I can leave the house safely…I guess it’s good to have goals.

  3. Oh indeed this is a fun date night look! Yes sadly there will not be too many of these though you could have date night at home. Get dressed up make a special dinner. I feel when this is all over people are going to go out and celebrate the way they did when WWII ended.

This is absolutely the perfect outfit for the first date night after once the quarantine is lifted! I have a few rompers in my closet that have yet to be worn. I need to get on styling those!
