Oversized Band T-Shirt Dress + Longline Vest.

I’m with the band in a t-shirt dress, mule sandals, and a longline vest.

Bringing pajama vibes to the great outdoors, folks! This oversized t-shirt dress was a super affordable Nasty Gal find that I initially figured I’d wear just around the house with slippers. I’m lucky the 9-5 gig doesn’t require me to dress business professional while working from home (which we are officially doing through the end of the year), so this dress is totally something I could get away with wearing during the week.

I then decided to switch it up and see if I couldn’t remix it a bit, leaning into those boho vibes frontwoman Stevie Nicks is famous for. (This is, after all, a Fleetwood Mac tee. All hail Stevie, our queen.) Layered a longline white vest on top, cuffing the sleeves a little to give the t-shirt dress some shape. Popped on a wide-brim hat (love this version and this version) and a pair of blush mule sandals for some added height. (Get the same vibe with these puppies.)

US friends, how are you guys handling this long, drawn-out pandemic? We aren’t quite getting things under control like some of the other developed nations, that’s for sure. I’m definitely of the mindset that until we get a viable vaccine, we’re going to be dealing with case surges because there are some people that feel wearing a mask is… a political statement? An impediment on their constitutional rights? (Wrong. And also wrong.) It’s wild.

Scientists at KU Med say the KC metro on the Kansas side is in a “fluctuating plateau,” which means we have to stay vigilant by masking up and practicing proper social distancing when in public spaces in order to keep cases from getting too high.

Dave and I are sticking pretty close to home, masking up whenever we venture to the grocery store, pharmacy, etc. I went to see my hairstylist, Steph, last week. She has a private single-room space and we both wore masks while she touched up my hair. We see friends by meeting them a few at a time at outdoor patio spaces (either our own home or restaurants that have ample outdoor room and are keeping everyone properly distanced) and visit family occasionally. All outside contact is pretty rare– we’re very much homebodies these days. What about you?

  1. I love this outfit so much! It’s a bit boho and a bit rocker and all fun! I’ve still been spending a lot of time at home too, things have started opening up here, but with I still feel a little uneasy about it. Hopefully things will get better soon though!

  2. Ashley, this tee shirt dress is amazing! I love Stevie Nicks and you are totally channeling her badass vibes in this cute outfit! I have been sticking close to home as well and wearing a mask when I have to go out. Since all businesses around me have the no mask, no service signs, I haven’t really seen anyone out and about not wearing one. But then again, I really don’t venture out all that often these days. Thanks for linking up with me!
