The Ashley + Michael Kors love affair continues. This silk shirt dress with exposed zipper detail and ruched waist was screaming my name as I breezed through the racks. (My man Michael knows his dresses, right?)

Added some color in the form of purple suede heels and teal chandelier earrings. Out the door in a boyfriend watch (also by my boyfriend, Mr. Kors) and a high ponytail.

Such a pretty color.

Looking forward to the weekend– I have big, fat landscaping plans for my front and back yards. My mom and her best friend, aka the Green Thumb Twins, have volunteered their services to help me sketch gardens and shop for new plants. Going to be a dirty, sweat mess of a weekend, but sooo productive. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Jen! The high pony is usually reserved for days when my hair either isn’t cooperating or is due for a wash (second-day hair, you feel me?). I just don’t love the way a low ponytail looks on me, so I’ve always been a high pony girl. My hair has a ton of texture (waves, yo), but you can recreate with some salt spray/volumizing product. 🙂

  16. I love the way you’ve put this look together. The dress is the focus (it’s so pretty, too) but there are little pops of color to jazz it up. Lovely!
