A neutral color palette is perfect for a chilly, drizzly day at the office. Light layers are key for early fall when the mornings are cool but the afternoons warm to summer temperatures. I layered a lightweight merino sweater under this gorgeous anorak by Sophie Theallet for The Limited, and then slipped on military cords and simple black ballets flats. (Hi, my name is Ashley and I have a corduroy problem.)

I went early Sunday morning and snapped up a few of my favorite pieces (see a pic of my haul on twitter), including this huge carryall tote. The quality is brilliant, and I’m absolutely in love with how much stuff I pack into this bag– and yet it doesn’t feel overstuffed or bulky. Gimme, gimme!
