Hot Pink Swing Dress + Wedges.

Late summer calls for a hot pink swing dress.

If you’re surprised to see me in neon, you might be new around here. (And that’s cool- hi!) This hot pink swing dress was more of a neon-by-accident, if you will. While it looked bright on the VICI site, it didn’t look DayGlo. But no complaints here; neon anything is totally fine by me.

This hot pink swing dress might be the easiest dress ever. It’s a swing cut, which means it flares out from the bust, giving the hem some serious swing. But because it’s short, you don’t completely lose your body in the neon fabric.

Note: this dress somehow manages to pass the, “Is this long enough for work?” test, just don’t go swinging it around as I did for this shoot. I’m 5’5 for reference.

The ruffled sleeve and tiers are cute without being over the top and the fabric wears nicely throughout the day. It’s also lined– so helpful for combating summer breezes.

A pair of pink and orange wedge sandals were the shoe of choice; I wanted to really lengthen the leg line. These wedges are so old (I got ’em via Victoria’s Secret back when they sold clothes + shoes!) but found some similar versions here and here.

I mentioned wearing this hot pink swing dress to work— I totally have, several times, even. I usually opt for a flat sandal (something leather, t-strap, and neutral works) over anything with height. I’ll also sometimes throw on a denim jacket.

This dress will be interesting to style for early fall. Right now, I’m thinking under a black leather jacket with sneakers for warm-to-cool September days.

Headed to Margarita Wars tomorrow! It’s the best way to send summer off with a tequila-flavored bang. You can see last year’s shenanigans right here. Catch me over on stories if you want to follow along!

  2. What a fun dress! I love tiered babydoll dresses like this for summer, I have a couple of spaghetti strap ones that are on frequent repeat when it’s warmer! 🙂

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend 🙂
