Gray Ruffle Blazer.

A mostly-tough look gets a little femme from a gray ruffle blazer.

I love mixing girly and tough elements. All-out girly usually isn’t my thing (one of those trends I love on everyone else, but then never seem to reach for when picking out my own looks), but I do dig some femme features here and there. A great case in point: a boxy + retro gray glen plaid blazer with a few cute ruffles as afterthoughts. This gray ruffle blazer is so 80s, right? Moonlighting, for sure. A pair of roughed-up black jeans (raw hem and everything) with my favorite snakeskin pumps were a good match. I kept the rest of the look simple, just throwing on a trusty pair of Ray-Bans. (As if you’d expect anything else.)

I actually sized up in this gray ruffle blazer in order to really get that cool retro vibe. I’m thinking it will also work over a sheath dress or with cigarette trousers and a blouse for office outfits.

    1. Thanks, lady! I’m excited to remix this piece- I think it’ll work with some girly dresses I have on deck for spring!

  1. Ah! I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this jacket, I’m a bit similar in feel to you, I sometimes don’t feel like out and out girly works on me but I love the added ruffles to this jacket. You look casual but super stylish at the same time, I envy your style!

    1. Right? I hear you, lady- I LOVE all-out girly on other people, but it never feels quite right on me. So I mix in some tough! 🙂 Thank you for swinging by!
