Free People always has several oversized, super voluminous tunics that double as dresses. I grab one or two a season and then wear them all season long because they’re lightweight and walk that casual-but-cute line quite well. Here I’ve brought a cute Free People tunic dress in a fun black and cream print out to play.

I wore it with an old pair (seriously, these guys have been around for ages) of mules. (Find similar versions here and here.) Because the tunic is quite breezy, any slight gust of wind is going to result in a Marilyn moment, so I layered a pair of Nike shorts underneath. A large link gold chain necklace from Etsy (under $20!) and dark, classic shades top off the look.

This Free People tunic dress is super lightweight, making it a cool (literally) summer piece. The darker print means you can keep the undergarments on the lighter side, too– no need for a padded bra situation here. It’ll also match well with jean shorts or jeans, just give that hem a little front tuck.

Watch this space for the much-requested curly hair how-to! I shot it last week and am now in the process of piecing it all together. It will include direct links to the exact products I used to create my super bouncy, oh-so-90s curls!

Have a great week!

    1. I only needed the shorts for those wind gusts, haha- this tunic is on the longer side, for sure (especially in the back). The bike shorts were the perfect little addition to make sure things stayed covered! 🙂

  1. You look very beautiful dear. The tunics really have this versatility and lightness that allows the woman to wear them as a dress or even combine with some jeans and leaving the shoes to the imagination of each one, being able to combine everything with flat shoes or with beautiful high heels. Kisses, dear Ashley.

    1. They were a more lightweight option than a denim short, for example, and really I only needed the coverage for wind gusts, haha!

  2. Yessss Ashley! This is how to rock a summer look – cute lil’ boho print dress, sun kissed curls and a smile! The mules elevate the look too, Xo
