Fave Fall Trend: Long Cardigans + Chokers.

Inching into fall with an olive green long cardigan.

Long cardigans are another trend I’m loving for fall Â because of the drama theyÂ lendÂ to a look. Bonus: major coziness. You guys know my love for olive green runs deep, so it was a split second add-to-cart moment when I spotted this long cardigan on the Forever21 site. (This is a great dupe and it’s on sale at ASOS.) A super lightweight knit means I can layer it over bare legs right now while KC still warms up in the afternoons, and later it will be great as a dramatic topper to a leggings + boots outfit combo. I slipped it on over a basic (and pretty summery) t-shirt dress. A body chain and a chain choker set gave this look the little 90’s oomph I’m into these days, and a pair of much-loved brown suede ankle boots anchored it for fall.

I’ve picked up four new long cardigans in preparation for fully embracing cozy knits as a key piece of my fall wardrobe. I’m going to be relying on the trend to cozy up office outfits as well as add some interest to dressed-up looks. Tip: if you’re short, either wear a heeled boot with the look or choose a cardigan that hits at mid-thigh vs. mid-calf. (I really like this version.)
