Extra LSR: My Love for AesthetiCare Medspa + End-of-Summer Party.

My love affair with AesthetiCare Medspa.

*This post is in partnership with AesthetiCare; all thoughts + opinions are my own.

If you’ve been reading this little space for a while, you know that I’m a frequent flier over at AesthetiCare Medspa. (I go to the one in Leawood, but there’s a Lawrence location for all you out-west folks!)

AesthetiCare came into my life at just the right time; I had long been skincare-obsessed but was looking to up my game as I got into my 30s. Sun damage was starting to show (a result of years at the lake as a kid + in tanning beds as a teen) and I was seeing little fine lines pop up here and there.

But what did I need? Facials? Different skincare products? Lasers? Botox? A full bloody facelift? (Obviously not.) There was so much information (often conflicting, mostly confusing) about what a woman should be doing at my age (or any age, for that matter) in order to achieve her best skin. In short: I needed the pros.

I found all those answers at AesthetiCare. Together their staff combines for an impressive 200 years of industry experience– now that’s the kind of expertise I was looking for. After a consult where we mapped my face with a special camera (and I got a serious look at what was happening under my skin), Team AC came up with the perfect plan of attack:

Extra LSR: Forever Young BBL with AesthetiCare. | Ash from LSR
L-r: the redness in my skin in June 2018; MUCH improved in September 2018 after 3 Forever Young BBL treatments.

AesthetiCare has skincare products on lock, as well. I had always spent hefty portions of my paychecks at places like Sephora and Ulta, but Team AC taught me that the best products you can stock your beauty cabinets with are medical-grade. (Which means you need to get ’em at a licensed medspa!)

AC only carries the best in terms of medical-grade skincare products; if you buy a product there, you know it’s going to work. They’ve even developed their very own skincare line! Their staff is so knowledgeable; a skin consultation is the best way to figure out exactly what your skin needs to look its best.

As it turns out, you don’t need an armload of products for great skin. Check out the post where AesthetiCare and I share the definitive skincare guide for women in their 30s. (Hint: only 4 steps! However, you must wear SPF. It’s the best way to prevent the signs of aging.)

The short of it? I’ve got the best skin of my life right now, at 34 years old. And I’m ride or die Team AC because they have all the tools (and amazing care) I need to keep that skin party going.

Let’s GLOW: AesthetiCare’s end-of-summer party on September 19th.

Save the date: September 19, 2019, 4-8 pm.

Because AesthetiCare is the absolute best in the business, they throw all their clients and friends a huge party to celebrate the end of summer– and this party comes with some major perks.

This year’s theme is Let’s GLOW– think glowy skin (duh) and neon everything! There will be a ton of vendors participating, including a few of my favorite local boutiques like Scoobie and The Jeweled Gypsy truck, food from Salty Iguana, and bubbly sips from Bubble Tap KC. There will be a fortune teller on-site (in your future: the best skin of your life), a neon balloon arch for some Instagram capturing, live music, and $15,000 in giveaway prizes.

And while you’re sipping and shopping, the end-of-summer party is the best place to get some serious knowledge on all the treatments you’re curious about. There will be live demos (Coolsculpting with ZWave, filler, Botox/Dysport, microblading, BBL, and Halo) so you can watch just how these treatments go down. You can even do a quick demo yourself! Try Emsculpt or Emsella for free! The staff will be on-hand to answer all your questions, too– their “ask me anything” stations are so clutch when you have questions about a treatment or product.

Here’s where it gets so good: anyone attending Let’s GLOW at AesthetiCare will receive up to 20% off all treatments and products! Holy savings, that’s huge.

The end-of-summer party is the time to book an appointment, no matter your skin care concern. Maybe you’re looking to blast some sun damage with a BBL treatment, or you’re curious about skincare products that really work, or maybe you have no idea what your skin needs but you want to start the journey. AesthetiCare has your back! There is something for everyone– from the skincare beginners to the beauty veterans who have their finger on the pulse of what’s new and what works. The biggest and best bonus: your money goes further!

Another huge plus for attending Let’s GLOW: any new AesthetiCare client (meaning you have never received a treatment at AC) will get a totally free Amino Lift Peptide Complex, which is a serum that reduces wrinkles, firms skin, and boosts hydration. It’s usually $95 but you can snag one completely gratis by booking your skin consultation with AesthetiCare at the event. The skin consult is amazing– it’s essentially a customized skin session that gives you a complete rundown on what your particular skin needs to look its best. Whether you have acne issues, are fighting the signs of aging, or are looking for body contouring options, the consult is the place to map out your personalized path.

    1. I wish you lived near me, too! We’d have so much fun! And yes, AesthetiCare knows exactly what your skin needs through an in depth consultation, it’s amazing!

  1. AestetiCare sounds like such a great place! I agree with you that when it comes to our skin, we better leave it to professionals. There is so much confusing information out there, isn’t it so? I’m not sure what to do now that I’m in my thirties (crazy how the time flies, isn’t it?) and I’ve definitely been overexposing myself to the sun when I was a kid and a teenager.

Anyhow, I would definitely visit AesthetiCare if I was based in USA, their Let’s Glow event that offers 20 percent off on everything sounds fantastic!!!!

You look great and your skin looks so fresh…love this casual styling.

    1. There is so much confusing/conflicting information out there, for sure. It’s best to have a medspa you can trust with super knowledgeable staff- and that is def AesthetiCare! 🙂 Thanks, Ivana!

    1. BBL is SO LEGIT, girlfriend. And I loved your post on sun damage- taking care of your skin with quality products is really SO key!

  2. I love how they properly tested your skin beforehand to determine what products were best suited to your skin!

    1. Yesss- this team know what they’re doing, for sure. SO important, because I certainly don’t! Knowing exactly what treatments and products will benefit my exact skin type is so key!

  3. Oh my gosh, this looks fabulous. You can tell you’re really comfortable with your skin and you radiate confidence. I wish lived closer because I’d totally go 🙂
Hope you have a beautiful day, lovely!

  4. I’m attending a similar event in my area this month. I love medical grade skincare products, such as Obagi, but also still use a few select department store favorites too.

    1. I was so shocked by how much the redness was reduced- and I didn’t even realize how much red my skin had! It didn’t really *look* red to me on the surface, but now that I’ve had BBL done I can see such a major difference!

  5. This sounds like such an amazing and effective treatment! Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙂

  6. it’s so great that the services are working for you, thanks for sharing! 🙂 I agree SPF is so important, it’s a daily essential here in Brisbane!

Hope that you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you!

  7. Yay! Good for you, pal, to attend to this now. Most women I’ve known only start paying serious attention to their skin in the mid-forties when they begin to notice problems. You’re a decade ahead of them which means you’ll prevent most problems that could happen untreated. So happy for you!

One thing in your story surprised me. Do they still let teens using tanning beds? It’s outlawed here for good reason.

    1. I think you can use a tanning bed as a teenager, but only with parental consent…? Although I am not sure about this. The only faux tanning I do is spray now! Gotta protect that skin. 🙂
