Dress Days.

Some days you just want to wear a dress, am I right? Don’t get me wrong, more often than not I reach for a variation of trousers-and-a-blouse (especially when it comes to office outfits), but it feels nice to pop a dress on for work every now and again.

I love this shift dress from ASOS, with its slim cut shoulders and mod print. Very Twiggy, no? I slipped on a tuxedo blazer (something more cropped was required, as anything longer added bulk when matched with the a-line cut of the dress) and a great pair of flats. Classic color palette, throwback print, all business.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I’m going to be giving a few new Thanksgiving recipes a pre-holiday test run. Yummy weekend or disaster in the kitchen? I guess we’ll find out. 😉

  1. Awesome news, Miss Style Setter! 🙂 Looking forward to your posts over at Simon.

I love this dress! Very 60s and so cute!

  2. I love your darker hair- it’s so cool for fall and winter!

This is a great dress- you can wear it both to the office, like you’ve done here, or for a night out. That’s the best kind of dress! 🙂

  3. Congrats on the style setter position! Asos once again outdoes themselves – I love their dresses and you can always find at least two or ten dresses which you can’t live without 🙂

  4. Congrats, Ashley! So deserving of a position like that. Too bad you don’t get your very own mall- can you imagine the shopping?! 🙂

    Happy Thursday!

  5. First of all, congrats with your new gig!! That is so exciting. Second, LOVE that dress!! It looks fabulous on you. It is cute alone, cute with the blazer. It will be so cute with some black riding boots… I love it!!

  6. That dress is incredible! It’s very 1960’s, but for some reason doesn’t look “dated” or anything at all- in fact, I love it!

    1. Hi Tegan! Yes, ma’am, they’re pretty comfy. Not much support though, so if you need arch support, you might not want to wear ’em all day long. 🙂
