City Shoot in a Rainbow Sweater. | Ashley from LSR

Cropped Rainbow Sweater + Express Jeans.

A little city shoot with David Sosna.

Switching gears from the summery look I posted earlier this week, have you added a rainbow sweater to your fall wardrobe yet? I scored this number from ASOS (it’s currently sold out– fingers crossed for a restock, but shop similars here + here) and knew it would be perfect with high-waisted jeans (like these stretchy + raw-hemmed jams from Express) for fall. Even though it’s a crop, it’s mega-oversized for a nice balance. And if you’re not game to go belly-button-out in public, a pair of high-waisted jeans are your best pal.

I linked up with the super talented David Sosna for this downtown KC shoot. His eye is so fresh; the angles and backdrops he was choosing really took me out of my usual routine and made for a cool shoot. David’s also a dope videographer and cut this video of our time downtown. (I also embedded it below if you want to watch.)

So this shoot looks like fall, which plays perfectly with the outfit– but it was legitimately 80 degrees with like 90% humidity in KC that day. The city felt like a steam room, and there I was running around in fall denim and a sweater. Blogger problems, I tell you what. What’s more, my hair gets so big in humidity like that, so by the end of the shoot I had some serious 80s, hair. Like Elisabeth-Shue-in-Cocktail big. Totally worth it for the incredible shots + footage David scored. Watch the video below:

I love the colors of your sweater, or I’m a big fan of colors.
I have not even started thinking about the autumn outfits I’m still in summer mood.

    1. I was super nervous until I saw that there was a part that was a lot wider than the normal ledge- but still, yes, heights freak me out!

  4. You look gorgeous, Ashley! I love color and this rainbow sweater is fabulous for fall/winter! I love how you paired it with high waisted jeans! I know what you mean about fall photo shoots in the summertime. Though, I would prefer that than 20 degrees in the wintertime. 😉

    1. These high-waisted jeans made that crop totally doable! And yessss- I know I was hot for this shoot, but it IS definitely better than being FREEZING! 😉
