I’ve had this burgundy blazer in my closet for a few years now. It’s a gorgeous color and works with so many outfits– like black basics and a statement ankle boot, for example. Easy black skinnies and a floaty black blouse provide a base, the blazer adds a nice shot of color, and the boots are ridiculous + fun. My kind of jam.

A blazer carries you through tons of venues; it’s one of the most versatile pieces in your closet. The key is letting go of that at-the-office-only mentality and wearing a blazer like you would any other jacket: with jeans and sneakers, leggings and boots, over a lightweight sweater, or to add some coverage + depth to a dress.

  2. Something I struggle majorly with, are blazers. I used to wear nothing but when I was going through an awkward post baby weight issue. They made me feel put together and professional. Now, I feel like they look too boxy on me. Too structured, and I’ve been all about casual as of late. I think the fabric on the blouse you’re wearing would be more me. The ones I have at home are wool or thick polyester like materials. Love this berry color on you Ashley!

  22. I find my colored blazers to be some of the most versatile items in my closet and you’ve demonstrated that perfectly here! The color is so beautiful and very perfect for winter! I really like that the lapel is a different texture as well! What a chic detail!
