I posted a preview shot of this outfit on my instagram– did you see it?

For a Saturday night with the girls, I grabbed an oversized black cotton tank + a pair of slouchy silk shorts, and slipped on some black patent stilettos. (Pulled a Carrie and went for exposing the bra a bit; winter is coming and we’ll all be bundled up to our ears in wool soon enough, let’s live it up while we can.)

I’m trying to work in all the super-summer pieces now before they have to be packed away for the season, so expect to see lots of shorts, white, and neon here in the next few weeks. That famous white Zara skort will probably make an appearance… Anyone else trying to get one last run out of their summer gear before fall hits?

  9. Ooooh cute shorts! And those shoes are amazing! I’m also in the middle of maximizing the use of my summer clothes at the moment so I understand the sentiment. Including those Zara skorts! It’s really been the closet item of summer 2013!

    1. The Zara skort is my jam- I’ve worn it several times and absolutely love it. It’s gotta make one more appearance on the blog before going into seasonal retirement! 🙂

  27. i love how you said you went carrie with showing the bra a bit, love it!! also slouchy slouchy is good for me- especially for this inbetween stage of looking fat but not quite a baby bump. i need to go for the slouchy look more- thanks for the inspiration, love! xoxo

  29. As a summer fanatic, I’m not exactly looking forward to winter. I love fall fashion but winter tends to drag. And so, like you, I’m trying to wearing my summer things as much as possible before the inevitable hits 🙂

  34. Your Shorts are Stunning, as are your Shoes. I think exposing a Bra works in situations when pairing it with a going-out Silky Top. The bra has to be interesting enough too, like yours is. Great Look for a night out, Ashley. I love it Sexy Lady!!
