Extra LSR: Fall Hacks with adidas.

Looking ahead with adidas on how to make a smooth transition to fall.

*This post is in partnership with adidas; all thoughts + opinions are my own.
It’s been a long, hot summer- but fall is right around the corner. With Labor Day weekend in the rearview, my sights are set on fall. The days get shorter and it feels like my schedule gets increasingly packed– anyone else? I’ve got some fall hacks to keep you right on track through the first snow, and they include some cute new adidas goodies.

Hack #1: Pre-work makes the dream work.

I find doing a little legwork well ahead of the actual event (work, dinner, the gym) makes my life easier. That means meal prepping on Sundays (boiling eggs, roasting chicken, and chopping veggies) and packing my gym clothes the night before spin class. I’ll even pack my lunch the night before (). This saves all the guesswork, keeps me on track, and helps mornings run smoothly. As a night owl, I appreciate the smoothest possible mornings!

Another pre-work tip: I keep a running grocery list. Evernote is my jam because you can sync it across all your devices, including your laptop– but any note app will do the trick. I have a checkbox list for everything I keep in the fridge + pantry. I scan the list before I start my errands, untick what needs buying, and then I have a handy reference for what I need when it comes time for the grocery run. So much simpler than trying to remember what’s in the freezer. Just check those boxes and shop!

Hack #2: Reassess your routine.

Is your fitness regimen still working? Are you feeling stronger? Are you bored? The end of summer + beginning of fall is a great time to ask yourself these questions and make adjustments. Nothing like a new season to shake things up.

I’ve been taking spin classes 3-4 times a week the whole summer, but I’ll be adding in an outdoor evening run a few days a week as the temps start to cool down. I’m snagging ; it’s going to come in handy on those runs. (Bonus: it’s reflective!) I don’t know about you, but adding a few new pieces to my workout wardrobe gets me excited to hit the gym. A  makes me a happy girl.

Fall is synonymous with back to school– which means a new routine for all you moms + college kids. Before life gets too crazy, sit down with the new schedule and block out time for you. Whether it’s scheduling gym visits while the kids are at practice or squeezing in a lift between chem lab and British Lit, your wellbeing is just as important as that GPA.

Hack #3: Your phone is your friend: make that tech work for you.

We’ve covered using a note app above, but there are so many ways your phone can boost your productivity. Instagram is fun and all that, but making technology work for you is kinda the point, right? Use a music app (Spotify is my fave!) and create fresh, new playlists that get you pumped for a workout. A good playlist can completely change the game. If you’re a podcast girl, have some queued up when you hit the bike or the treadmill.

I like to set calendar alarms to remember little things that are likely to get lost in the shuffle if I don’t log ’em in my phone. Think tasks like packing your gym bag, signing up for that barre class, calling your doc to sched your women’s yearly, etc. That way as fall gets busier, you stay organized + on your game. Ever been in the middle of a meeting and remembered you still haven’t scheduled your yearly skin check with your derm? Calendar alarm for the win. Set it for a time when you’re free and jump right back into meeting mode.

Scroll Pinterest for new recipes to shake up your diet; I love trying new soup recipes come fall, and am still all about finding keto versions of my favorite dishes. (You can follow my boards here.) Lately, I’ve been into these chicken bacon ranch poppers, and you can’t go wrong with baked avocado eggs! Having new-to-me healthy recipes on hand is the key to keeping me from overdosing on Chinese takeout. (Everything in moderation.)

  1. I always just use my regular Notepad on my phone/laptop, but I need to check out this EverNote! I think I’ve heard of it, just haven’t used it. I love this casual look on you and those shoes! Those Protein Premier drinks are my fave, I only like the chocolate flavor!

  3. These are such great tips and, as an Adi girl myself, I am LOVING all of your gorgeous Adi finds! I am so thankful the weather is cooling down and fall is finally right around the corner. Time to mix up my workout routine!

  4. Girl you look amazing! Clearly these hacks are working. I agree about doing work in advance, like the night before, helps so much. The only way I get things done and out the door is if I prep while Ivy Jean is in bed. 😉
