Printed Skater Dress + Green Blazer.

I’m in love with this dress. Flouncy, lightweight, great neutral pattern, flattering fit– I could go on and on. The strappy nature + cutout detail means a blazer is necessary to make it office-friendly, so I grabbed a bright green version. Who says you can’t mix brights + patterns? Not me.

  1. I love this combination! Probably wouldn’t have though to put the green jacket with that print, but it’s super cute on you! I need to branch out more and mix up my wardrobe. πŸ™‚

  3. I love being able to make pieces work appropriate by adding a blazer or cardigan. This is so cute and perfect for the office and then when you go out for drinks after work you can take off the blazer and go have some fun! πŸ™‚

  6. Love the print of the dress! I really love the cutout in the back, it adds some sexiness without being too over the top. The color of your blazer is amazing! Love that you paired it with the dress to make it office appropriate. It’s such a good idea to take something from day to night : )

    1. Agreed, Anna. The cutout really sold me on the dress- a bit of sex appeal on an otherwise very ladylike cut. πŸ™‚

  7. I love how this look is great for the office and then you can take off the blazer and move right into evening! πŸ™‚

  8. I have been seeing these “skater” skirts all over the place- this looks really pretty on you. What body types can wear it?

    1. Hi Tegan! This skirt is good for creating curves (so it’s great for straight up and down body types). For me, it’s all about where the flare hits. If it hits at my natural waist, it’s all good, but if it hits below the natural waist, it looks wonky. Your best bet? Go out and try a few on. Express has a ton right now!

  9. That IS a great dress. I am so on board with getting more dresses. I use have almost none. But I fixing to change that! You look great.

    1. I have this problem with certain cuts I’ve tried on too, Siobhain. Especially skirts (rather than dresses); they just tend to hit in a weird place. I’d recommend trying more on next time you spot something you fancy; look for a dress with a shorter waist! πŸ™‚
