Back in denim cutoffs, this time with a super femme floral kimono blouse.

Breezy pieces are the name of the game lately, from oversized shirts to maxi dresses. On a recent Kindred Shops run, I was on the hunt for more items like this: stuff that was pretty but would also breathe. Enter this floral kimono blouse from Ruby Rouge. Hi there, perfect summer top! It’s chiffon, which makes it super lightweight. I loved the sage color + floral motif, and the tie just under the bust was really flattering. It also provided some coverage for wearing it closed over a lace bralette.
I grabbed those denim cutoffs (seen earlier this week) because honestly, these are the best summer shorts right now. The wider leg opening is so nice– at first, it felt exaggerated, but after wearing them a few times I realized that the high-low cut (it dips lower in the back) and wider leg opening is actually really flattering. I sized up to keep the waist roomy, something I usually do in shorts because I don’t like to wear them tight; your girl wants some room. They are perfect! A little on the pricey side, but I’ll get every dime out of ’em wearing them for the next few summers and beyond.
These olive green sandals were a fun sample sale find, but I found ’em here on sale for under $30. Very 90s cool, right? That architectural heel is really fun and the square toe is right on trend. These work now with shorts and dresses and then will easily transition into early fall with jeans.
Shop the look:
This piece would work remixed as a traditional kimono jacket over a white tee or tank. I also like the idea of wearing it over a classic shift dress to the office with a pair of pumps. Kindred Shops does it again! I can always count on the boutique collective to have a huge range of super cute + versatile pieces that work season to season. If you aren’t familiar with Kindred, they pull in several different local boutiques under one roof, including brand new trendy faves and vintage scores. Right now there is so much stuff for late summer at a huge discount– swing by if you’re in KC! Kindred is located inside Oak Park Mall on the lower level just outside Nordstrom.

That kimono blouse is so beautiful and perfect for summer. I really like hoe you match it with sandals in same colour.
