Pearl-embellished things have been all over lately, so I grabbed this pearl sweater on-sight during an H&M run a few weeks ago. (Psst, it’s on sale right now for $15! Go get it!) It’s lightweight, which means it is going to slate in nicely as I transition my closet from winter to spring. Worn with stretchy high-waisted denim (another H&M score) and white booties (last seen here), this is a killer go-anywhere outfit for early spring.

While I like staying up on the trends and injecting my wardrobe with new pieces every season, I also have a (general) budget. I look to fast fashion stores like H&M, Forever21, and Zara to bring the style fire without torching my bank account.

I will definitely splurge on the occasional piece, but those tend to be more classic + enduring items that are going to withstand the test of time (like the Stuart Weitzman boots in this post, or the leather jacket in this one). But with trends that may come and go? I’m all about those fast-fashion retailers. And while some people have made the argument that fast fashion means cheaply made clothing, I have found the quality at H&M and Zara to be on point. Forever21 is a little more hit and miss, but I do have pieces in my wardrobe that have lasted years!
