A long-sleeved lace dress with mules is just right for early fall.

Early fall can be tricky to outfit: crisp mornings and evenings, with a hot afternoon sandwiched between. Trends also skew toward longer sleeves and lengths, yet it’s too warm for sweaters. A long-sleeved mini dress to the rescue! This nude lace dress is perfect– it works now with bare legs for kinda-sorta-fall days, but will also pair with jackets and tights later when the weather turns. I love the interesting lace pattern; it feels a little tougher than your standard super girly lace. I grabbed my blush suede mules from H&M (fast fashion score!) and some dainty gold accessories to dress this look up a bit.

We’ve got a little 90’s nod in the shoe, while the dress is a timeless sheath. This outfit also hits on the neutral tonal trend. Going head-to-toe in a single color (or similar colors, as I’ve done here) may seem a little boring, but it lends a really polished element to an outfit.

I’ll definitely be leaning on this dress more and more as the season wears on. It’s long enough for the office (especially paired with tights), but also has the potential to get really sassy for date night. (Perhaps with tall + heeled boots and a leather jacket?) What I really want to try: this dress with a utility jacket and sneakers. Can it be done? I think so.

  17. Super cute look! The shoes with it are so 90’s! Reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw haha. 🙂

    For fall I am loving just wearing a flannel around my hips . It’s fashionable and functional because I can totally use that as a quick cover up for chilly mornings.

  39. I dress my kid in pants and have to take shorts or a dress for the sitter to change her around noon. Can we get some constant weather?! haha Nude looks BOMB on you! I’m used to seeing tough pieces on you and it’s nice to see something a little more on the delicate side. (: You certainly can rock it all!
