I’m an ankle-boot-year-round kind of girl. Shoe of choice, for sure. They’re tough without being over the top, match up with everything from jeans to dresses, and add a cool factor to any outfit. So when the folks at DUO reached out with the chance to select a pair of their tailored-to-fit boots, I went straight to the ankle boot section and honed in on the DUO Axil boots. Black leather, textured snake skin effect, double zips, and a pointed toe? Please and thank you.

DUO makes online shopping for boots and shoes a breeze by upping the success rate of getting your size right on the first try. You use the handy fit tips to take measurements of how wide your foot is, the size, and calf circumference (if you’re ordering tall boots). The process results in a more exact fit, which means a match made in shoe heaven for you.

I paired my Axil boots with a floaty top, and then balanced all that black with a pair of bright white jeans + a light faux leather jacket. The result is a spring-like neutral outfit with some toughness.
