Neutral Olive.

When you think of neutral colors, do you limit yourself to the standard black, white, and tan?

Don’t.

Olive green totally falls in neutral territory these days. (And while we’re on the the subject: navy is a neutral, too.)

The instinct is to match this taupe blouse with basic black trousers, but I grabbed a pair of olive green cords from J.Crew instead to shake up an easy workday outfit. (Make no mistake, black pants with this blouse would work well, but reaching for a different neutral– like olive green– is another way to stretch pieces in your closet.) Black patent oxfords and a black glass bead necklace gave the outfit a bit of oomph.
