Presenting the absolute cutest little skirt + sweater set I have ever seen, fashion fans. I wore this to the first round of Kansas City Fashion Week shows, and kept affectionately referring to it as “Bill Cosby cute.” It’s on trend for fall + winter (matchy-matchy separates: check; neutral palette: check) but with enough oomph to keep it interesting.
I loved the soft neutrals, bold print, and the cozy sweater material the separates were made from. Perfect with a pair of suede booties and a crossbody bag. The girls at The Garment District hooked this sister up. Thank you, ladies!
A little peek inside my bag… The fashion week necessities!
A few shots from the shows…
There was some serious talent on display Friday night. I loved the use of brights + silver in the Architexture show, and Heidi Herrman put on a clinic in regards to quality and finish. Almost had a heart attack over the resort wear featured in the Alicia Janesko show that ombre sequined jumpsuit was insane. I need it. I don’t know where I’d wear it, so maybe I’ll just wear it everywhere. The grocery store, 10 a.m. meetings, a Nordie’s run…
A massive thank you to the lovely ladies of The Garment District for the killer outfit and to the KCFW folks for having me as a member of the media team again this year!
I wouldn’t have guessed your top and skirt were separates! They look like a dress, which I guess means that they are perfectly paired. Love the bold print in softer colors, it’s such a nice balance.
Gorgeous look–I love the set and your nickname for them! I’m stopping by from the What I Wore to Work linkup and saw that you’re a KC blogger too. I love your picks from KCFW–I’m sad I missed it this year. I went a couple of years ago and it was a great time. Anyway, nice to “meet” you!
What a cute set, Ashley! I love this!
Looks like fashion week night one was an awesome time! I love the pictures and I agree that you totally need that sequined jumpsuit!
Loved this look! I am so into the chunky knit trend and can’t wait to style mine. I’ve got to remember the two tape advice! That’s a good one! http://akstylemyway.blogspot.com/

It would be so fun to go to a fashion week! Love that sweater and skirt. Definitely cuter than anything Bill Cosby would wear!
