This pretty floral romper is key now through early fall.
Whether you like it or not, summer is drawing to a close. I live for summer fashion, but there is a little something exciting about new sweaters and boots. I’m mixing a little of both here with this look: an adorable + summery Everyday Runway floral romper from my local fave, Kindred Shops, worn both with and without a super chunky, oversized cardigan from Topshop. A pair of blush wedges (old Target jams, but score an updated version here) root this look in the warmer months, with the cardigan acting as a cozy backup for chilly restaurants and movie theaters. (Seriously, why are these places so cold in the summer?)
To jazz this romper up with a fall spin, think about swapping the wedges for a pair of tall leather boots (like the ones in this post, for example). Add a pair of tights if you need, or replace the cardigan with a leather motorcycle jacket. A few little tweaks and this romper easily rolls into late September, early October.

For right now, Kansas City is still much in the heat of the summer– 90+ degrees as far as the forecast can see. I’m sure I’ll be missing these dogs days come mid-February, but a little relief would be nice.
Speaking of fall, Kindred Shops is starting to pack its racks with fall pieces. Kindred is located inside of Oak Park Mall (on the lower level, just outside Nordie’s) and houses 10+ local boutiques for you to shop. While they specialize in clothing, they also have a selection of shoes, jewelry (they actually just launched a collaboration with local jewelry designer, EB!), accessories, and home goods. I swing in there whenever I need a closet refresh, have an event to shop for, or I need to pick up a gift for a pal!
