Wicked in Uniform.

“Pretty in pink, wicked in uniform.” I had a volleyball tee in high school with that across the back. A bit apt here, no?

I love mixing girly + tough. It keeps things interesting and is another way to make the pieces in your wardrobe stretch. (If you can wear a blouse five different ways as opposed to three, bonus!)

This blush pink blouse is quite spring and summer, being all pastel and halter-cut. But when layered under an olive green utility vest, it totally works for early October. I completed the look with ankle-length jeans in a classic wash with a pair of nude pumps. Boom! Perfect transitional outfit.

Happy Thursday! I’m super pumped for tonight– it’s opening night of Kansas City Fashion Week! I’m so excited to go and see the shows with my girls; pics + a post to come next week!

KC blogger friends: are you going tonight? Tweet me! I’d love to meet up. 🙂

  1. You look so adorable! I have a top almost identical to the one you have, except it’s cream instead of blush. Layering the vest is genius–I never thought of that, but it really gives this outfit a whole new look that’s perfect for early fall 🙂

    Aloha from Hawaii,

  2. Love how you styled this. A Military Blazer or Vest makes everything better. I want that same one from Old Navy.

Looking forward to hear all about the KFW. 😉
