The Jump Off.

I’ve been known to pull in a little boho here and there, but I never thought I’d sport a full stop wide-leg paisley jumpsuit.

Until this weekend.

Nordstrom convinced me (as it usually does). I pulled this hunter green number off the rack with a smirk on my face. It was one of those pieces that had the potential to be really bad, or really good.

Guess what? It was really good. If you follow me on twitter, the dressing room pic might’ve crossed your timeline.

Despite being a huge fan of skinny jeans, I love the wide leg on this jumpsuit. (A pair of wedges allow the hem to just barely dust the ground– so 70s.) The slouch at the waist keeps it from being too dated, I’m digging the borrowed-from-the-boys paisley print, and the thin straps show off the shoulders. Dark green is a great color for fall, but a burgundy blazer makes it even more so + office-friendly.

Removing the blazer shows off my favorite feature of the jumpsuit: low-cut sides. Makes it feel a bit like silk overalls (in a good way), and gives you the option of showing off a lace bralette.

This blog has really become a reason for me to try on– and then buy– outrageous pieces, am I right? I feel quite Rachel Zoe in this jumpsuit, or at least approaching Zoe territory. All I need is a big floppy felt hat…

Would you wear a jumpsuit?

  1. I have yet to find a jumpsuit that fits me properly, but I’m not totally opposed to the idea. I’d do a more structured/tailored look. Love that print and that color on you!

  2. This is adorable! I love it! I think the beautiful blazer really elevates this look too. I’m so scared to go to Nordstrom–I always end up finding something I just HAVE TO HAVE.

  3. Love the jumpsuit! It’s so retro! The deep green is so pretty and perfect for fall and I love the low cut sides. It adds a subtle hint of sexiness. Love that burgundy blazer! The green and burgundy are perfect together! I just wrote an article on how to transition summer clothes for fall on pop sugar. Hope you can check it out! : )

  4. I didnt think I’d love a green paisley jumpsuit either, but this has totally convinced me too! I find blogging has made me a little more adventurous with some purchases than I used to be too! Looks fab with the burgundy blazer!

  5. Girl I love Jumpers & Rompers. Yours is a little Boho, so Fun & Unique. I, too think, Hunter Green is a Must for Fall. I love how you made this work-appropriate yet if you take off the Blazer (which is amazing by the way, is it current!?) it shows off your sexy, vixen side. And I mean that as a compliment.
