Boot Kismet.

I have been hunting for a pair of two-toned riding boots for ages. I had this idea of the perfect, equestrian-feel boot, but I kept striking out because the versions available didn’t match the Dream Boot in my head: wrong price point, the shaft of the boot was too short, the top of the boot didn’t have that telltale flare, etc.

However, I am two-toned bootless no longer.

I found these killer Enzo Angiolini riding boots at Nordstrom during the Anniversary Sale, and snagged the last pair is my size. Bless! Meant to be.

Riding boots and skinny jeans? Pretty much a casual winter uniform. I paired my new boots with a cropped sweater. So easy, super cozy, can’t go wrong.

We’re in the middle of a deep freeze here in Kansas City– temperatures yesterday started at -2° with a windchill of -30°. Yikes, I wish I could hibernate until mid-March. Stay warm, Midwest!

  1. You look absolutely cute and cozy in that sweater! I have boot in those exact colors. I love them so much! They match almost everything. I hope the weather warms up for you soon. I can’t imagine what -30 degrees feels like! I can barely handle 65 degree weather.

  2. I have commitment issues with my search for two tone boots. I used to hate them because I thought I could never wear them with anything. Well, clearly that is not the case. Then I went through a phase where I wanted lighter brown with black but now I want dark brown with black. So you know, I’m just making this ridiculously complicated.

  3. I’ve been on the hunt for just a perfect pair of riding boots in general! Ugh, I’m so picky but I love yours! We are in a freezing state also, not quite as cold as Kansas but with wind chills here in Maryland it feels like -17… it hasn’t been this cold since the 90’s around here! Stay warm, lovely!

  4. I think what I actually appreciate most about this post is that you used the word “kismet”… let’s be friends 😛 but those boots are awesome… I can never seem to find a pair like that that fits me the way I want them to. Although I also don’t really know how I want them to fit, so… clearly my fault.

  5. Yay! I love when shopping fate steps in! It’s hard to pass up something I love when it’s the last one left *and* it’s in my size! They look great! Thanks for linking up!

  6. What a beautiful cozy sweater. I too am in love with your new boots and have been looking for similar ones, for the right price, on my own. While in the States the ones I tried didn’t work out. =(
