Blue Suede Off Broadway.

A new season means a closet refresh. Time to pull out those sweaters stored away since March, dust off the boots, and layer up with jackets and scarves.

You don’t have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe to get the refresh effect– buying just a few pieces can breathe a little life into your closet. One of the easiest ways to do this? New shoes.

When Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse asked me to select a few pairs of shoes to style, I immediately gravitated toward flats and interesting color combos + prints. I was in the mood for something comfy I could wear in a variety of venues.

My first selection? Blue suede shoes, 2014 style.

These Tommy Hifiger brogues are perfect for fall– an easy navy neutral, with a red sole to jazz it up. Flat for comfort; you can wear these bad boys all day. (No joke, I wore them 10 hours straight the day I broke them in; zero blisters. True story.) I wore them here with a classic fall outfit: skinny trousers, a lightweight sweater, and an over-sized blanket scarf.

Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse has a huge selection to choose from– 30,000 pairs means there’s a shoe for everyone. You can one-stop shop brands like Nine West, Adrienne Vittadini, and Steve Madden at a discounted price, also. (I’m always down for a deal.)

Exciting news for the Overland Park/Kansas City crowd: Off Broadway is opening a new store in the Corbin Park area (135th between Lamar and Metcalf). Doors open on Friday, October 10th at 10 a.m. Every time a shoe store opens its doors, an angel gets its wings. Or its stilettos. Whichever.

I’m all about brogues, as you know. They’re as easy to wear as ballet flats, with a prep twist. These Tommy Hilfiger’s are no exception– they’re perfect worn here for the office, but also work with jeans (both classic skinny and destroyed baggy boyfriend). I’m looking forward to a few warmer spells here in KC next week, so I can wear these blue suede jams with dresses. Gotta keep the legs out as long as we can before it’s too cold!

Check back Thursday to see which shoe I chose for my second look… Think prints!

  1. Love the oxfords with that outfit! They provide such a fun twist to an otherwise classic ensemble. That scarf is gorgeous too 🙂

PS- I’d love for you to stop by on Thursdays to link up your favorite look!

  2. I am loving your shoes! I’ve been eyeing the Cole Hann shoes that are very similar to the ones that you are wearing but I thought it made me look too much like a boy. After seeing your outfit, you’ve inspired me to give the shoes a shot. Fabulous outfit girl!
