Barely Spring.

Spring is officially here. No turning back now, Mother Nature (although that evil cow has a tendency of throwing a spring snowstorm our way every once in awhile).

I’m celebrating by planning my spring shopping list. Right now I’m digging soft blouses, barely-there both in color and fabric. Think floaty chiffon and whisper pink, mint, and pale buttercup.

Blousy Spring

1. Red Haute Sheer Chiffon Blouse ($78)
2. Rory Beca Trapeze Blouse ($178)
3. Winter Kate Tilapia Chiffon Blouse ($195)
4. Susina Lace Hem Peasant Top ($44)
5. Love Quotes Scarf in Moonbeam ($88)
6. Love Quotes Scarf in Morrel ($88)

Take any of these super floaty blouses and tuck them into skinnies and skirts. (Pull the shirt out a bit so that it blouses at the waist.) When summer rolls around, pair them with denim cutoffs or chic linen shorts. Sticking with a soft color palette means you can wear the top all year long (jewel-toned chiffon sort of screams summer-only; with a pastel you can add it to winter white and/or tan and take it through January).

A lightweight scarf is a year-round staple for me; during the spring and summer I wind them over tank tops and sundresses. But until the weather really warms up, I’ll layer them over thin turtlenecks and cardigans.

Anyone else have spring fever? What are you shopping for this spring?

  1. I have a serious case of spring fever!
Love those blouses- I need some in my closet! I don’t have anything like them. Shopping trip!

  2. I’m loving #4 and #6. They seem perfect for San Francisco weather. However, as of lately, it’s been rather stormy. But hopefully soon, I can start wearing spring-like clothes without a heavy jacket on top!

  3. I looooove picture number 2. I am really digging the “barely there” blouses, they are really comfy and very womanly. So ready for spring!
