The Jump Off.

I’ve been known to pull in a little boho here and there, but I never thought I’d sport a full stop wide-leg paisley jumpsuit.

Until this weekend.

Nordstrom convinced me (as it usually does). I pulled this hunter green number off the rack with a smirk on my face. It was one of those pieces that had the potential to be really bad, or really good.

Guess what? It was really good. If you follow me on twitter, the dressing room pic might’ve crossed your timeline.

Despite being a huge fan of skinny jeans, I love the wide leg on this jumpsuit. (A pair of wedges allow the hem to just barely dust the ground– so 70s.) The slouch at the waist keeps it from being too dated, I’m digging the borrowed-from-the-boys paisley print, and the thin straps show off the shoulders. Dark green is a great color for fall, but a burgundy blazer makes it even more so + office-friendly.

Removing the blazer shows off my favorite feature of the jumpsuit: low-cut sides. Makes it feel a bit like silk overalls (in a good way), and gives you the option of showing off a lace bralette.

This blog has really become a reason for me to try on– and then buy– outrageous pieces, am I right? I feel quite Rachel Zoe in this jumpsuit, or at least approaching Zoe territory. All I need is a big floppy felt hat…

Would you wear a jumpsuit?

  4. I love a good jumpsuit, especially in silky, paper-thin fabric! Makes me want to glamorously lounge around on a chaise and sip champagne all day!

Just a little photography tip, if you’re interested. Try positioning the camera at waist level, as opposed to eye level. It’s a much more flattering angle, perfect for outfit shots! XOXO

  5. Definitely approaching RZ territory in this, and I love it! (I die!) You look fabulous. And it looks fantastic with the burgundy blazer!
