Sweater with Super Ruffles. | Ashley from Le Stylo Rouge

Super Ruffled Sweater + Riding Boots.

Classic gray cable knit with some serious ruffle action.

My sweaters are still in the rotation, but I’m looking for lighter weight + cropped styles to start inching things toward a spring feel. This super ruffled sweater is too fun, right? I kept the rest of the look simple to let those sleeves shine: skinnies with a little distressing at the knees and black riding boots with a gray sock poking out of the tops.

While spring officially sprung yesterday, the weather is slowly coming along here in Kansas City. The trees are starting to bloom and my gardens are coming back to life after a winter nap. (See those green tufts coming up? Lilies!) I can’t wait to retire the cold-weather pieces completely– even a cute super ruffled sweater like this!– in favor of breezy spring dresses and sandals. But for now, leaving the coat is a solid start.

Is it just me, or is March seriously flying by? I blinked and it was St. Patrick’s Day. The second-half of the month is busier than the first, also– Kansas City Fashion Week is the week after next and my dance card is filling up fast. Cannot wait!

    1. I know what you mean- I have to resist the urge to pack away all my winter-y stuff until at least early May, because you never know when we’ll get a random cold spell in KC!
