My jam: denim jackets with sassy slogans painted on the back.

Sarcastic clothing, me?! Actually, yes. (Exhibits a, b, and c.) I love pieces that literally make a statement, especially when that statement is tongue-in-cheek. When I spotted this sassy denim jacket as part of the Zara sale, it was an immediate add-to-cart moment. It’s roughed up and just a bit slouchy, which gives it even more character. I wore it with a simple white sleeveless tee, cuffed girlfriend jeans, and a pair of white rope wedges.

Cat-eye mirrored Quay sunglasses– fast becoming my fave new sunglass brand; shop ’em here– and gold jewelry were easy accessories choices. I scored these earrings at a boutique in Greece, but I’ve sourced some similar versions here and here.

No matter how big my jacket collection gets, I will never be able to resist a sassy denim jacket like this. I even wore it to work (on a casual day) with simple skinny jeans and flat t-strap leather sandals. Another styling idea: as a cheeky topper over a little black sheath dress + pumps. It may seem extreme, but you’ll score major cool girl style points if you treat it just like any other jacket. 😉

  3. I absolutely love how 80’s/90′ punk this is, but updated to a totally acceptable non-terrible leftover 2017 way! Confused by that statement? I thought I knew where I was going with it and I got lost too.
