Olive Green Sweater + Riding Boots.

Dipping deep into the depths of my sweater collection.

Jeans and a sweater, wash and repeat. Ah yes, it must be the end of January. I’m mixing + matching pieces and creating new combos to try and keep things fresh. Today, it’s a cropped dark olive green sweater with classic skinnies and a pair of black suede riding boots. I love the utilitarian vibe of the sweater; the high neck and cropped hem are pretty cool, too. I would buy 100 of these Joe’s jeans and live in ’em, by the way– the fit is so good and I love that pretty blue wash. To jazz up the look just a bit, I added a little sparkle in the form of a gold lariat necklace from Gorjana (part of that FabFitFun box I was telling you about over the weekend; with code: ROUGE). The gold stands out nicely against the basic olive green sweater, and the dainty + long combo is exactly what I’m into these days.

I’m loving that we’re almost to February– although February’s usually a miserable month weather-wise in Kansas City, it does mean we’re that much closer to spring (also known as my sole reason for living at this point, with all this drab cloudy + cold nonsense).

    1. I loooove sweater season when it gets here in the fall, but I’m a bit weary (and bored) come this time of year. Time to remix!

    1. Thanks, AA! It’s getting to be that point in the winter where I’m digging deep into the sweater archives. 🙂

  1. I love the riding boots. As a fashion rebel, I refused to wear these bad boys when they were on trend. Everyone had a pair, and I hate to see myself coming, lol. Now that they aren’t so “in style” I think it’s time to grab a pair. 🙂

  2. Such a cute outfit, I love the colour of that sweater paire d with the simple pendant. So pretty!

  3. Thanks, Ashley, for the sweet comment you left on my blog today. You’re a sweetie. And you wear these boots like a champ. You prove that casual outfits can be interesting and fun.

I just learned you live in Kansas City. I visited there six years ago on a BBQ tour with my brother-in-law. I wrote about it on my prior blog and listed the places we ate at. I wonder if you’ve ever gone to them. I loved Arthur Bryant’s BBQ.

    1. I actually have been to Arthur Bryant’s! It’s a great BBQ place- but my fave place is Jack Stack; you’ll have to visit next time you’re in town! 🙂
