Plaid and the holidays go hand-in-hand; it’s one of the easiest ways to look festive. Last week I sported a chic holiday look, but this week I’m putting a rock ‘n roll spin on that classic plaid print.

Tucked this boyfriend-style plaid shirt into a pair of faded black, ripped-knee skinnies (if these aren’t rock ‘n roll, I don’t know what is), added a leopard belt, a shoe with a gold cap toe, a few pavé bracelets, and then piled on about 20 lbs. of gold chains. (Mr. T much?) Love the Courtney bib from BaubleBar; such a statement piece. Layered the tassel necklace (last seen here) over the top because more is more, so why not? The final rocker touch: a vampy black cherry lip.

The resulting outfit is ready for your Christmas cocktail parties and gift exchanges with friends, but with a definite edge.

  37. Love this outfit. The shirt looks so comfortable, but you still look really put together, I always envy that in other people. I feel like when I am dressed comfortably I LOOK sloppy (probably isn’t so, but I feel that way).
    Also that lip is awesome. I’m gonna steal that when you aren’t looking.
