Gray Day.

Gray and brown may seem a bit drab on paper, but I happen to love this color combo– especially when it comes in the form of relaxed basics. I wore a version of this with a classic v-neck tee, a pair of light gray destroyed skinnies, and my new favorite ankle boots.

To keep it from being too boring, I belted the look and added a few interesting pieces of jewelry (check out that necklace; I was immediately obsessed).

This outfit is super easy to wear– who doesn’t own a few gray t-shirts? If gray jeans aren’t your thing, you can wear this with regular blue or black denim. Distressed or not distressed, the choice is yours. (I think my recent fascination with ripped jeans is pretty clear by now.) Almost any ankle bootie will do; I’m just really into the scuffed + faded ShoeMint versions I’ve been wearing lately.

Exciting week to come: Kansas City Fashion Week is here, and I’m going to Saturday night’s show– anyone else? Let me know in the comments if you are! 🙂

  4. LOVE gray and brown – I find it to be a refreshing color combination that’s appropriate for all seasons.
ADORE your boots – I was eying the exact same pair last fall and I am thinking of getting them now! You look amazing :]

  5. Such an unpredictable color combo, at least to me anyways… I love the way you added pops of the brown with your shoes and belt to the grey, it is such a nice touch. I haven’t found the perfect pair of ripped skinnies yet and each post you put up looks so cute. I have to get a pair.

  8. Gorgeous in gray! I never used to own a single gray piece of clothing until this past year, and I love it! It’s actually a really flattering color and is the perfect blank canvas. Those jeans were made for you!
