Holiday Gift Guide for Her.

The holiday season is upon us, friends and countrymen. It snuck up a bit, didn’t it? Feels a bit sudden this year– but I’m definitely ready for pumpkin pie, stockings, and trimming a tree.

How is your holiday shopping coming along? I put together a few of my favorite things, all of which would be perfect gifts for the fabulous women in your life: mothers, sisters, and best friends (or you, if you’re so inclined). The best part? All of these little bits and baubles are available online, so that means you can skip the hordes at the mall.

Gift Guide 2013

1. Diptyque Figuier Mini Candle ($28)
2. Nordstrom Pointelle Cashmere Knit Infinity Scarf (on sale! Was $78, now $58)
3. Inphant Elefant Silky Throw Blanket ($68)
4. Estee Lauder Modern Muse Gift Set ($85)
5. L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream ($22)
6. Coach Madison Small Kelsey Satchel ($228)

Diptyque does it best when it comes to candles, and this little mini version (1) is both affordable and in my favorite scent: fig. Speaking of yummy smells, I am obsessed with Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse fragrance. Have you tried it? It’s a floral + woods blend, with a bit of mandarin orange. Really, really good.

Another little indulgent bit every girl needs: a solid hand cream. Winter is coming (Game of Thrones, anyone?), and this means dry, chapped hands. L’Occitane (5) hand cream is super rich and the lavender smells incredible.

Who doesn’t need a cozy cashmere scarf (or three) in her life? This infinity version from Nordstrom (2) also checks off the hassle of styling the scarf; just slip on and go. And who doesn’t love snuggling under a super soft blanket? This dove gray throw from Inphant Elefant (3) makes me want to put on thick socks, grab a mug of tea, and spend the day on the couch with a DVR date.

For the super specials in your life (i.e., the ones you’re willing to really throw down some cash for), consider a leather satchel. I just picked up this exact bag from Coach (6), and it’s a dream. Soft leather, crossbody-capable, and a perfect neutral color that will transition season to season. A nice medium size, too– ace for when you don’t want to lug around a huge tote, but also can’t be bothered with a tiny bag that only holds a lip gloss and your ID.

And because the biggest shopping day of the year looms ahead this week, my friends at BaubleBar are having a massive Black Friday sale. It starts at midnight Friday (12/29) and runs all weekend long!

Use the codes above to score some statement pieces on the cheap. What am I buying? I’ll be picking up this pavé chain necklace, a pair of not-so-simple studs, a dainty chevron ring, and a killer crystal statement necklace.

Happy shopping! And happy Thanksgiving. 🙂

  2. This is such a fabulous little gift guide! I’ve been doing as much online gift shopping as I can because I’ve turned into a mall hater! There are so many amazing sales right now too, which makes it even better. I’m putting Modern Muse on my own wish list!
