Fur: Two Ways.

It’s getting a bit brisk outside, no? Gone are the days when I can walk out of my house in the morning without thinking about outerwear, and I’ve started reaching for thicker layers to build outfits around.

Today I’ve teamed up with my pal Nikki from The Fashionable Wife to bring you two ways to wear a big trend this fall and winter: fur. Nikki’s rocking a fur-trimmed scarf, while I show you how to wear a fur vest.

A simple cream cropped sweater, studded nude t-strap flats, and a monogram necklace were all I needed to complete the look.

Nikki took a red dress and layered it over a classic striped shirt. (I love this trick; wear your sleeveless dresses well past Labor Day by layering fall + winter appropriate pieces like long-sleeved tees, turtlenecks, and lightweight sweaters underneath.) The fur-trimmed scarf adds warms and elevates the style, as does a pair of really stellar black booties.

  1. I love your fur vest! It’s the perfect length too – not too long or short and it looks extremely cozy. Nikki’s transitional look is great too – I love getting the most out of my summer wear!

  2. I love your fur vest! The cut is super cute. I have one that is more cropped, but I’d love to pick up a longer one as well!
