Another day, another maxi dress.

I’m all about breezy dresses this week on LSR, and this Free People striped maxi dress is right in step with that theme. (PS, it’s on mega sale right now; go get it!) I love the pretty rainbow stripe and super gauzy skirt– makes a girl want to twirl! I layered a lace bralette under and slipped on those brown Sam Edelman sandals I’ve been living in lately. (Also on super sale here and here.) The candy colored stripe is the star of the show, which meant I kept the rest of the look simple + comfy.

This Free People striped maxi dress was such a great end of the summer score; I only got the chance to wear it once this season, but it’ll definitely be back in the rotation next year. I can picture it being the perfect poolside-to-BBQ maxi dress to throw on over a swim suit. The super roomy nature of the skirt makes it an ideal travel dress, too, especially if you threw a denim jacket over the top.

Are you milking your summer dress collection now that it’s September? I find myself reaching for summery pieces to wear one last time before being shelved in favor of more fall-appropriate pieces. KC won’t be in fall mode until (at least) early next month, but with all the talk of pumpkin spice lattes and football in the air, I’m definitely prepping for fall.

  10. That maxi dress is too cute on you! I love the colors. I started wearing all of my most summery things a few weeks ago for one last go. I am a little sad about retiring them until next year!

  14. I’m lucky to live by the sea, so despite some grey weather, I’m still totally in the summer.
    I love your dress, it’s something I’d absolutely wear for a cearless day on a beach or some cocktails with friends.

  17. I suddenly feel like in a weeks time it turned to fall over here. I feel like I’m behind building my fall wardrobe haha! I know the weather will warm up again and I’ll use it as a chance to get one more wear out of my summer faves! I love your dress, it’s beautiful!
