I love a good pair of cutoff denim shorts. Cutoffs just feel like the quintessential summer item for me; I build entire outfits around my cutoff collection with zero shame. What can I say? You can take the girl outta Belton, but you can’t take Belton outta the girl.
While cutoffs are perfect with an easy tee and flip flops, I love dressing ’em up. (Like here and here.) Adding dressier pieces to basic jean shorts elevates them and adds more interest. A floral crewneck, statement necklace, and of-the-moment neutral mule sandals really add some oomph to these super cute Just USA cutoffs.

Love this look! I agree that cutoff shorts can be such a great option to wear to the beach or just for any casual look. We don’t often think of dressing them up for a different occasion. Such a nice spin with the floral top!
