Buttoned-up.

Happy 4th of July, fellow Americans! Hope you’re celebrating today with hot dogs, sangria, and a few sparklers.

A hot pink silk blouse is normally as girly as it gets, but things get a little androgynous when paired with a pair of much-loved (read: worn constantly) slouchy khakis and snakeskin gladiator flats. And that’s a good thing. Mix it up by matching pieces you’ve never worn together. It really stretches your wardrobe, I promise.

Went a different route than my usual and buttoned the shirt all the way up to wear the statement necklace on the outside. Crisp, fresh, and not quite as laid-back. Cuffed the sleeves (because I cuff literally everything; my forearms are never fully-clothed) and added a great shell bracelet I scored last year in Jamaica.

The lips are good, no? It’s Revlon Just Bitten Kissable balm stain in Lovesick. I do love me a good (cheap!) lippie.

Enjoy the fireworks, dolls!
